Satsang, a social movement to elevate every human being in the society, was initiated by Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra (1888-1969), a prominent philosopher and philanthropist, in the first decade of the last century. All the activities of Satsang have been inspired with Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra’s belief that every person in the world has the instinctive urge for existence and growth.

Sree Sree Thakur has presented a charming way of life in a balanced, rationalistic, scientific manner based on his direct observation, experimentation and realisation, which in turn stemmed from His deep love and keen interest in the totality of life itself. He could meaningfully relate the religious to reality, spirituality to science. He formulated a concise, active practice involving a unique blend of meditation and adherence to a Living Ideal so that one could take charge of one’s own life and growth.

A Living Ideal is a personality who embodies the conception of Being and Becoming, who is a competent and realized man in whom all the human qualities are arranged and adjusted to their best. Such a person is a living mirror by which we can ameliorate our own character.

Satsang believes that Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra is such a Living Ideal.

His wisdom ranged from health to education, from science to philosophy, from literature to politics etc.

One of His thought-provoking messages is “The ideas and activities that lead man towards the Cause is Spiritualism”

He felt that once every individual is disciplined by practicing Ideal Centricity and practical philosophy, the society will be free from evil forces, intolerances and sectarian conflicts; hence universal brotherhood and convergence about various religious identities is perfectly possible. Satsang UK, UK branch of Satsang, actively promotes His philosophy of Universal Brotherhood in various communication channels.

Enlivening discussions will be happened on the ideology and teachings of Sree Sree Thakur Anukulchandra.
