The Caged Bird Sings is a Bharatnatyam production inspired by real women who were ground-breaking in how they challenged the norms and embody all the living Devis that walk this earth.

This production delves inside their stories of hope and courage by weaving dance, original music score, and rich poetry.

“The Caged Bird Sings” is even more relevant today where we need to remind ourselves that the true spirit of the Divine lives in each of us and the entire Universe. It explores heroines of Myth and History some of whom are unsung heroines. It reminds us of the strength within the human spirit to overcome challenges. It urges us to think about the sacrifices of women before us and how their legacy has the made the life we enjoy today possible.
