Kalaripayattu is an ancient martial art indigenous to Kerala, a small state in the southern tip of India, but is known and practised throughout the globe today. Kalaripayattu is today emerging as a source of inspiration for self-expression in dance forms - both traditional and contemporary, theatre and fitness. Practicing Kalaripayattu increases one’s flexibility and agility, strengthens the muscles and tendons by exercising the body without the need for any equipment.
Bhagat Thakur is a certified Kalaripayattu practitioner and trainer from Ahmedabad, India. Bhagat was trained by his Guru Shree D Padamakular and has been practicing and teaching the art form for the last six years.
